Looking for tips on how to plan your free exercise program? Everyone knows that exercise is an important part of staying healthy and losing weight, but between family, friends, work, and home, it can be difficult to find the time to fit it in. In fact, if you’re looking to find the time you need to exercise, you probably will never get started. Something will always come up. The key to starting a successful exercise program is to make the time to do it

Here are a few times that work well for some people:

1. In the morning. I know. I can hear your groans. No one wants to wake up early and put themselves through the torture of an exercise routine. However, you’ll find that exercising in the morning actually gives you more energy throughout the day. You’ll also find that you’re sleeping better, which makes it easier to wake up early. If you just try this for a week, you’ll see what a great idea it is.

2. On your lunch break. While you may not have enough time to go to the gym, get in a cardio and strength training workout, and take a shower before you have to be back at work, you can certainly take a brisk walk around the neighborhood. Try to do this for the first half of your lunch so that you aren’t weighted down by a full stomach.

3. In front of the TV. If you have a piece of cardio equipment — a treadmill, bicycle, or elliptical, for example — you should set it up in front of the television set. This allows you to exercise while watching your favorite shows. Just make sure to commit to it. It’s easy to feel tired at the end of the day and not want to work out.

4. Here and there. You don’t have to do all of your daily exercise in one big block. In fact, it can be just as effective to work out ten minutes here and ten minutes there. If you don’t feel like you’ve got a lot of time to workout, this is your best option.

While it can be difficult to get started in an exercise routine, the hardest part is just inertia. Once you take that first step towards fitness with your free exercise program, you’ll never want to go back.
